Celebrating Surveyor across the globe

Client: Trimble Geospatial Division
Agency: 90octane
Storytelling: Jana Bender
Creative Lead: Ben Marshall

Goal

Trimble partnered with 90octane to create a global community for surveyors to showcase their most exciting and engaging field stories from around the world.

Leveraging the active social presence of this audience, the goal of this site is to encourage and incentivize surveyors to join the conversation of how they ‘make their mark’ on the world. They can submit their own stories and images to be vetted, showcased, and promoted throughout the site.

Approach

The design and stories strategically showcases individual surveyors as the heroes throughout the site, highlighting their achievements and accomplishments.

This approach, coupled with an easy way for site visitors to submit their own stories helps to create a user-generated content strategy that keeps the audience engaged and the site fresh with new stories to add.

Target Audience

This campaign is targeting surveyors and geospatial professionals that spend their time out in the field, collecting data using Trimble or other industry precision equipment.

Audience Insight

Surveyors spend the majority of their day in unique outdoor environments while sharing personal photos on social media showcasing their incredible scenery and surveying equipment.
